This project was a tenant fit-up to design the offices and on-air broadcasting booth for Northern Native Broadcasting Yukon. Private offices surround a large “bull-pen” news area. All workspaces have visual connection to each other, as well as open views to the Yukon River and 2nd Avenue.
Acoustic challenges included attenuating the large volume of the open news bull-pen, with the adjacent on-air booth and programming booths, as well as preventing sound transmission from the restaurant occupancy below.
We developed the tender construction drawings and specifications, including the successful acoustic separation requirements needed to achieve the performance level of the on-air and broadcast booths.
