This project design focuses on creating a welcoming space for residents in which they can feel at home. The single storey wood frame building has a residential aesthetic with bedrooms facing natural cliffs; away from the street and neighbors for added privacy. The Group Home is comprised of both private and semi-independent bedrooms both designed for increased mobility for up to 10 residents. The building also includes a recreation room and staff areas centrally located allowing visibility and creating a sense of community.

Landscaping around the building is also designed to be barrier free in consideration of residents’ mobility.

This project was done with Thibodeau Architecture + Design.
